WHAT WE DO
WE LIKE TO SAY THAT WE WORK AT BOTH ENDS OF HISTORY
NEW PRODUCTION – We all have interesting stories to tell. Fiction and Non-Fiction. From concept to finish.
FILM SCANNING AND REMASTERING – People before us had interesting stories to tell too. So we scan 35mm and 16mm film, transfer 35mm and 16mm film sound and digitize videotape. We preserve and remaster the past.
WHO WE ARE
Owner David Emrich started his career in film, first working at a film laboratory: mixing chemistry, processing, printing and color timing. Then he worked as a re-recording mixer at the only film sound mix stage between Chicago and Los Angeles. So he knows film.
For most of his years he has been an editor, first with film and then digital, of course. He’s edited features, short form and documentaries. His work has garnered an Academy Award for Best Documentary. One of the many TV spots he edited won a Clio. One of his sound edit projects won a national Emmy.
David is a member of the Association of Moving Image Archivists and is active in the Nitrate Film Interest Group.
PUBLIC SECTOR
We are also a GSA contract holder and have done dozens of projects for the National Park Service, National Science Foundation, Bureau of Land Management, DOD, the Department of Energy, the US Forest Service, NREL and many others. We have produced film and video projects, audio tours, touch panel displays and websites. With our partners we have designed, fabricated and installed everything from individual exhibits to complete visitor centers.
